Traditional Camp Program

Our ability to set each individual camper up for success and deliver a growth-filled, safe, and fun summer is something we are proud of.

Campers live in cabins and are grouped by age. Two counselors live in each cabin. An additional head staff member is assigned to our youngest campers (having completed first grade) to ensure our smallest camp community members are provided with extra care as needed.

CHM is known for its innovative scheduling program which includes a blend of cabin activities and workshops. As campers age, more workshops become available making no two summers the same.

All of this adds up to a tremendous experience among great friends in a scenic and quality setting.

Workshops

Each week includes the opportunity to participate in a wide array of workshops. Campers attend the same workshops each day for one week to allow more in-depth skill-building. Workshops can include climbing, woodworking, fine arts, culinary arts, model rocketry, and more.

Workshops are organized by age group and campers and parents make selections in the spring based on their personal interests and desires. As campers return each summer they have the opportunity to try new activities, as well as further develop skills in past favorites.

Cabin Activities

Cabin and age division activities offer the chance to share some memorable adventures with campers your age. Swimming at the pool, the 1000 foot zip line, taking in the water slide, hikes, crafts, and more make for exciting times.

Evenings also center around cabin groups and age divisions. This allows age-appropriate activities and schedules that include later bedtimes for older campers.

Trips and New Adventures

Campers choose one New Adventure or Out-of-Camp trip each week. Whether it be a culinary class bake-off or an afternoon rock climbing trip there is always something of interest to choose. View a list

Please note there are no additional charges for out-of-camp trips.
