Health + Safety

The health and safety of our campers is our top priority. At Camp Hidden Meadows, health and safety are all-encompassing and include both mental and physical health.

American Camp Association Accreditation

We are proud to be accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA), meeting rigorous standards in health, safety, and program quality. We go above and beyond the ACA’s standards to ensure all aspects of our program are safe.

Staff Training & Certifications

Our staff arrive one to three weeks before campers and go through a deliberate training schedule that has been refined through decades of experience. During our Staff Orientation, they learn about child development, safety procedures, and get certified in First Aid/CPR, Lifeguarding, and more. Many of our Adventure staff arrive early to go through extended Climbing and Alpine Tower training.

All of our staff go through our rigorous hiring process, including multiple interviews, references and background checks.

Dedicated Health Center & Local Resources

We hire experienced Registered Nurses to run our fully equipped health center. Our nurses are available 24/7 to provide attentive care. From minor injuries to medication management, our nurses are a key support for our campers.

On-Call Mental Health Support

We partner with an on-call certified mental health specialist who is available to help the Camp Hidden Meadows staff and leadership to ensure that campers receive proper support throughout the summer. Mental health is a key component of a successful camp experience—if you have questions about how we can support your camper, please get in touch.

Food Safety & Allergies

Sharing meals as a community is one of the best parts of camp! We understand that kids have allergies and are able to accommodate most dietary restrictions including Peanut Allergies, Gluten Free/Celiac, and Vegan/Vegetarian. Please reach out if you have specific questions about your camper.
